It’s been less than 24 hours since Capcom and Panda Global issued a statement involving the Infiltration domestic abuse case.
According to Capcom in their official statement, they said although it didn’t happen during an event they don’t condone his actions and wants to provide a safe environment for everyone.

The safe enviornment part of the statement could mean that having him present at events as of now would spark outrage within the FGC and can lead to backlash or boycott of events.

Infiltration’s involvement in the rest of the CPT season is done for now as the pro gamer opted out yesterday.
In acknowledgment of a first offense, he has voluntarily withdrawn himself from competition for the agreed upon period of the rest of the 2018 Capcom Pro Tour season, including Capcom Cup Finals this year, and the full 2019 CPT season. A second offense will result in a lifetime ban from participating in all future Capcom Pro Tour events.”

With his withdrawal, other players who were behind him including EVO2018 finalist CoolKid93 moved up a spot in rankings.

In addition to him missing the rest of the season as well as 2019, his Twitter account no longer has any affiliation with Panda Global as they terminated their contract with him following the investigation.

Now without a year of competing, a domestic charge, and no sponsor… Is this officially the end of Infiltration?

It’s safe to say that no big name sponsor wants to have that type of negative clout attached to their brand. With so much talent surfacing this year and more next year it’s easy to become forgotten within that time.
