Ono Hints At Upcoming SFV Content Release In August

It’s been a couple weeks since Yoshinori Ono asked fans of SFV to be a little more patient as they’re working on new content. Yesterday, he took to Twitter once again with a hint on when fans can expect new additions to the game.

Though he wants everyone to focus on Combo Breaker this weekend, the big event that falls in August is non-other than EVO 2019. If this is the case, it will be the biggest announcement for the game since the reveal of Arcade Edition.

How Should They Schedule The Announcement?

Unlike KAGE, who was revealed in the game during Capcom Cup 2018, all announcements should be saved until after Top 8.  If they announce even a new set of costumes or frame fixes beforehand, everyone will be more focused on the updates rather than the matches.

The main story is who’s coming to the game? Favorites like Rose, Makoto, E. Honda, T. Hawk, and Fei Long have been requested for some time. Ono’s tweet will once again have everyone crossing their fingers in hopes of their favorite returning characters to be revealed.
