Gill will make his return to Street Fighter in December

After the North American Regional Finals this past Sunday, Yoshinori Ono came to the stage to reveal the next addition to the game. After weeks of waiting and speculation, Gill will be making his way to the game next month.

Gill, who has the same move set as current character Urien, uses a mix of fire and ice in his attacks which creates for damaging setups and meaty combos, especially in V-Trigger.  As a reminder, he will not be a charge character.

In addition to the announcement of Gill, Ono also announced that the Champion Edition of the game will be available in February 2020. The game will come with everything from costumes, to stages, to the inclusion of Gill. Fighters will also get access to new V-Triggers and V-Skills such as Rashid’s air-dash and Juri’s standing projectile.

One thing that was pointed out on Twitter was that it mentioned it will include all 40 characters. However, with the inclusion of Gill, there are only 39 characters meaning there is one more character announcement to come likely at Capcom Cup.

The game will cost $29.99. Those who already have the game can upgrade to the Champion Edition for $24.99. Those who are attending Capcom Cup will be able to use Gill at the Capcom party.
