Group pools drawn for Capcom Cup X, Group F labeled as cursed

CAPCOM CUP — With the Capcom Cup X tournament kicking off this Friday with the Last Chance Qualifier, the winners from the offline and World Warrior tournaments now know who will be in their pool after Wednesday’s Group Draw.

The event was hosted by RobTV and Rynge as they selected players from each region to be placed in particular pools to avoid team/region kills – meaning not having two players from the same region in the same pool.

However, the most notable during the pool draw is that Caba and MenaRD, both from the Dominican Republic, are in the same pool along with a few other heavy hitters in Group F, or the cursed group according to RobTV.

The groups are as drawn below, and remember, only two players can make it out in each group.

Fans and players took to social media to express just how much Group F is the most stacked out of the rest. Some reference CPT’s old point system as a better way to avoid most of the top players in one group.

All is determined except the player who will be labeled the Last Chance Qualifier. That tournament kicks off Friday and last through Sunday with the winner added to Group H.

The Group Stage Elimination will take place from Feb. 21 to 23 and then Top 16 on Feb. 25 – the day the new champion will be crowned for Capcom Cup X.

What are your thoughts on the random drawing? Should CPT return to its original point system?
