CAPCOM CUP — After three days and dozens of players competing for the last spot in the Capcom Cup X tournament, the name for the Last Chance Qualifier spot was decided Sunday evening.
Problem X earned his spot in the tournament after beating JB in the Loser’s Finals then reset the bracket and beat Punk with a 2-3, then a 3-0 result while playing Blanka in Grand Finals.
He will join the list of winners from offline, premiere, and World Warrior events to compete for $2 million in prizes with – for the first time ever – first place winning $1 million. The best part, he won’t be in Group F.
The Group Stage Elimination will take place from Feb. 21 to 23 and then Top 16 on Feb. 25 – the day the new champion will be crowned for Capcom Cup X.
