Can’t play Tekken 8? Chances are you’re banned. Here’s why

TEKKEN — If you can’t access your Tekken account, chances are you were probably one of the players who got hit with the ban hammer.

Back in January, the game’s director and chief producer Katsuhiro Harada addressed accusations of cheating in the rank boards.

On Friday, the official Tekken X account, formerly known as Twitter, announced that players who engaged in intentional disconnects or rage quit, cheating by use of mods or cracks, and inappropriate customizations and player names can face penalties from temporary to permanent bans.

More measures to discipline those who violate the End User License Agreement, or EULA, will be enforced throughout the month based on in-game reports, according to the tweet.
